As food donations decrease, retail food-rescue sources deplete on a national level, and with more and more of the working class being affected by layoffs, we need to act now to scale our operations to meet the growing need here in northeast Iowa. We will have fewer volunteers. We will have less food. And we will be serving many more families, working class individuals, seniors, and ultimately, those affected by COVID-19 directly.
Please consider making a donation, and know that it will go far beyond what you might expect over the next few months. Your donation might end up as a box of food delivered to a senior center, a month's supply of groceries, or in a BackPack for children whose families will experience the economic impact of this crisis. 100% of your donation will go towards our COVID-19 response efforts.
Call your friends and family to action and help us scale social good by starting a Facebook Fundraiser to collect donations online. Start with a small goal of as little as $50 -$100 and every dollar you donate will help us provide up to 4 meals to those dealing with situational hunger due to the impact of the Cononavirus, as well as to help us continue serving children, seniors, and families in northeast Iowa already experiencing hunger.
