Providing funds for us to purchase these personal care items or providing the actual items goes a long way for these individuals.
Many families struggle not only with food insecurity, but with providing personal care items for themselves and their families. Since government food assistance programs such as SNAP does not aid with purchasing care items, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank’s Personal Care Drive encourages donations of personal care items for our neighbors such as deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
August 5, 2023 there are volunteer shifts available at Cedar Falls & Waterloo Walmart locations to hand out fliers.
